"Free-style French" might sound like an oxymoron, but the phrase aptly describes the unique cuisine at Kihachi. Chef Kumagai personally travels around Japan to select only the freshest meats and vegetables and the finest ingredients for standouts such as "Tartelette d'Oursins frais" (sea urchin pie) or "Morceau d'Homard saut al'駱ice" (saut馥d lobster). All of his dishes are complemented by any of the 40 wines from a list favoring California vineyards.
